Liz Lisa Outfit and a small review - Heart Buckle Frill Off-Shoulder Knit and Tricot Tiered Skirt-Pants (´。• ◡ •。`) ♡
Hello!
Yeah I haven't posted in a long time, but I decided to take some pictures for once.
I tried to do a ryousangata coord! I really like pink and white coords. I'm not sure how I feel about this coord, but I think I just don't have it perfected yet. Eh, it is what it is. This coord is pretty comfortable though, and I think it'd be great for a fall or even a spring outfit. More details in my review. I might make more reviews to be honest. I don't know why, but I really like writing them.
I'm struggling to get my hair to look cute in pics. How do people get their hair to look so voluminous and fluffy lol? Though to be fair, I hardly practice hair styling. I'm sure people also edit their pics for their hair to look nicer, but eh I dunno yet.
Top: Heart Buckle Frill Off-Shoulder Knit
Skirt: Tricot Tiered Skirt-Pants
Necklace: from an indie shop on TaoBao, but I don't remember the brand
Short Review

Heart Buckle Frill Off-Shoulder Knit
I bought this as my first ryousan piece, but also to have something a little warm to wear. The sweater is not the warmest, nor is the knit very thick, so I wouldn't expect this to keep you warm during very cold weather. I live somewhere with some colder winters though, ranging anywhere from 10° F - 20°F, but sometimes it goes below that. I would say that this sweater is more like a Spring (like beginning of Spring) or a Fall sweater. I'm sure if you layer something underneath, it would work! I hope that helps in giving you an idea of its warmth!
The sweater is on the thin side, and can actually be a BIT see through, so please keep that in mind. I would wear undergarments with more coverage with this. I don't think the sweater being thin is entirely a bad thing. It was clearly intended to be layered with other pieces, and if it was too thick, it would probably be bulky under a skirt.
I like the straps a lot. Normally, I dislike off shoulder tops because I'm constantly fighting to keep them up lol. But the straps are a good length where it feels like my shoulders are not too exposed to the cold, but also enough to keep the off shoulder style on. They're not adjustable though, which may be a problem if you need something that goes on longer for you. They're on the short side.
Overall, I would rate this sweater a 10/10. It seems like a good staple piece if you're into ryousangata or just anything cutesy. I would just again, keep in mind that this sweater is not that thick.
Tricot Tiered Skirt-Pants
Okay, so I really like this skirt. I think it's very unique, and I love how princess-y it looks from Liz Lisa. It sort of reminds me of older Liz Lisa styles, and I kind of hope they keep going with this look. The skirt is a lot like a petticoat, and has a very cute flared out shape. The fabric of the skirt is also not itchy or scratchy. It's softer, and there's also an inner lining and built in shorts anyway.
I haven't worn this skirt out that much, but I can see this being more bathroom friendly. The built in shorts are soft and comfortable, and also stretchy. Look, I'm not gonna mince words, but public bathrooms are nasty. I DO NOT want my cute outfits touching public bathroom floors. At least with this skirt, I can scoop up all of the skirt efficiently.
I'm more than likely going reinforce the bows and rhinestones. Liz Lisa is known to have things falling off! If you ever get Liz Lisa, keep that in mind. Reinforcing isn't anything too hard by the way, it's just simple hand sewing which you can find YouTube tutorials about.
Overall, I'd rate this a 10/10. Very comfortable, elastic is not too tight.
My thoughts on Liz Lisa so far
So personally, I think Liz Lisa is decent quality. The fabric to me feels better than general fast fashion. I own a blouse, another skirt, and of course these two, from them. The fabric has all been on the thicker side, and didn't feel cheap to me.
Liz Lisa does have some quality control issues from what I've noticed. One of the blouses I bought had a loose thread before I even used it. I've seen others have the hardware of their pieces, have missing rhinestones. One of my skirts had the hook rip off from its thread, which I then had to sew back on.
So while I don't think the fabric of Liz Lisa's pieces are entirely bad, their pieces are delicate and high maintenance. I would probably only ever hand wash these pieces. If you're familiar already with j-fashion, I feel like this is the case for a lot of other brands.
The main reason I like Liz Lisa as a brand is their designs. Liz Lisa tends to have a lot of details in their pieces, that I don't always see in other brands. I don't think simplicity is a bad thing, but pieces with lots of details is just my preference.
I kind of just wish they would release more regular skirts, and not skirt pants. I love skorts, but if they're not bathroom friendly, and the zipper is difficult to put back on without any help, that's going to be a problem when you're out in public. (This is really specific because this is basically what happened to me at a convention one time lol) It would make me wary about using it more.
Or at least make the skorts more bathroom friendly! I've seen some skorts where the shorts part underneath, is detached from the back so it's easy to just pull down the shorts part.
Am I still going to get Liz Lisa? Yes, most likely.
I'm not brand loyal or anything, but their designs catch my interest the most.

Just an update post
Hello!
I haven't posted here in a while, but that's just because I don't have much to blog about right now! I guess I feel like only sharing if I have something to show. I don't really do day to day posts because, I mean, it's just not realistic that someone does something big every day!
I'm sure I'll find some time to post a Liz Lisa haul eventually. There's some new pieces they have that are REALLY cute. I hope to be able to snag some pieces.
That's all for now

CherryCheezy Prints and Stickers Haul
Hiiii! It has been a long time since I posted. I haven't really been doing much, especially anything j-fashion related, so I didn't feel like I had much to post!
That being said, I did buy some things from CherryCheezy!
If you didn't know already, they said they would be retiring as CherryCheezy. I liked some of their art, so I made sure to get some prints and stickers while I still could.
I don't really have much else to add to this post other than the fact that the prints are of really high quality. I'm sad that CherryCheezy is retiring, but I understand not being interested in drawing in this style or this genre anymore.

Taito Hatsune Miku Fashion Figure Subculture
Been a while since I posted, but I wanted to share a new figure I got! I bought this Subculture Miku figure from OtakuOwlet! I'm not sponsored or anything, I was just pretty happy with my order from them.
I actually really like the quality of Taito Miku figures! This is not my first figure from Taito. I have the Taito Sakura Miku 2021. I love how Taito does the paint job for the Miku figure faces, especially the eyes! Besides, Taito figures have a very affordable price point, which is great for me lol.
I think that's all I wanted to share for now!
Thank you for reading,

Trip to the Mall
Hello again!
So I went to the mall! I had no idea that one of the malls near me recently opened a Miniso, but also more anime merch shops. I'm typically not into buying merch in stores because more often than not, I find that they're sold for much higher than you can get them online.
Miniso is still pretty great though! (Though, I feel they have a similar issue where some stuff is pricier than I'd expect.)

Outfit of the Day
Hello there!
Today I wore my outfit for the first time since I got it! I just went out to do some errands, and to go grocery shopping at Trader Joe's.
The blouse is from DearMyLove and the skirt is from Liz Lisa.
I have to sew back on one of the buttons for the skirt's straps. It snapped T__T I went through the rest of the day just tucking in my skirt's strap into my skirt. I don't think anyone noticed LOL
I went shopping today as well and got some cute flowers! I also bought these raspberry heart cookies from Trader Joe's. They're SO delicious. Trader Joe's sweets NEVER miss lol.
They're really good, so if you can, you should try em!
Other than that, I bought some Dairy Queen. I got one of their sundaes, but I didn't get to finish it at all lol. Their peanut butter sauce actually tastes so good though.
That's all for now. Thanks for reading!
